One of the trademarks of an ECCFF faux finish is translucent glazes used over top of complimentary colors for the foundation coats creating color effects that change in different lighting. In this room the homeowner wanted a rough, irregular pattern in southwestern colors. The warmer reds radiate in some light while the cooler black and grays rubbed in overtop take on a cooler tone in different lights. This is all created with home-made glazes that have a higher amount of resin than many store bought house paints. This means the top layer is washable, scrubbable and likely to outlast most other store bought paints or glazes and can also be custom made into any level of gloss.
