Faux craftsmen in The valley of the Sun with over two decades of experience
We had worked for these customers for previously and when they wanted a very dramatic look for their front entrance. This is a multilayered finish involving two blended base colors. Then two different sets of warm and cool glazes for the top coats.
These colors are only a very small set of the limitless range of colors available. Since all of our colors are custom tinted when we start making samples for a new customer any color combination is available.
The photo below shows how two different light sources can bring out a completely differently set of colors in the same finish. Our translucent glazing technique uses layers to reflect light differently depending on the source. This not only gives our work greater depth but can give our finishes different looks at different times of the day. This is a technique unseen in most others “faux” finishers in the valley of the sun.
